Mark 13 "Hardware"
A Modo off-line render project, trying to recreate the Mark13 robot (partially) from the movie "Hardware". Love that movie!
Could not find very good reference material, lots of blanks filled in as well as i could.
3D SOURCE FILE SHARE: Grab HERE.
Note: This zip only contains the geometry. LXO (with correct creased subds available, and FBX (cant export creased subds, so just low(ish) poly geo. You figure it out ;>)
Renders: ( No post work at all, or barely any as I recall?)
Final (processed) Image: ( Not very happy with it. A lot of post (PS) work, when I should probably have gone back to 3d and done more with lighting etc.
But...that's it for this project!

Space Quest III 3D
A fan art Unreal 4 project.
Another game that made an impact on me as a kid.. I also wanted to explore a little more cartoony style and colorful palette. As close the the (let´s say "striking") original EGA palette I could. I feel the direction I went with would fit really well for a modern version of SQ3. I focused mostly on the env art, and exporing Unreal 4, learning how to put things together by just using Blueprints.
I only wanted to cover the first area, with just a little interactivity, and of course, a few deaths. (hint: There are two.)
Also, If you didn´t know, the original creators of SQ3 are making a new game - Please go support them here!
Additional sound fx credits: www.freesfx.co.uk, Frankles video box.
Tools used: Modo, Photoshop and Unreal 4. My phone (recording some sounds). All but one (4k) material are 2k. Mostly masked tiled materials, 1 or 2 baked normalmap props, No lods.
Known issues: Some camera clipping can be expected.
Sucky animations - I just retargeted the example UE4 anims on my character setup, which turned out crappy, but somewhat funny, so I just left it there ;>
This project is now "open-sourced" ! I'm sharing the entire UE4 project file. It is up to you now!
You may continue the project, remake it, or do whatever you wish. Just gimme credit in whatever results ;)
Be aware: As-is. Links may be broken, Source Modo files are not available. Only exported models.. Sound files may need copyright.
Email me for the Unreal project zip. ----> There will be no support, please dont ask.

Rise Of The Dragon 3D
A fan art project that started out as Modo off-line render project and ended up as realtime Unreal 4 project.
Rise of the Dragon was one of those games that really had an impact on me as a kid. I always wanted to do a game in this genre, and this is probably as close as I'm getting. The project was also me starting to play around with Blueprints and scripting, as well as particles and sound. etc.
ROTD3D was never going to be a complete remaster of the original, so the features are a bit limited from the original, though done in slightly more modern way.
I was going to do an inventory system and video messages too, but the feature creep was already getting a bit much for me.
Tools used: Modo, PS and Unreal 4. No textures above 2k were used. No props were baked, except the bed. No lods. Entire scene: ~380k tris.
Known issues: - When inspecting items I could not control the Post Processing (hangs the editor, known bug) Work around: Inspect further away from the lamp..
- The computer had some glitches, "should work" now. (mouse still does nothing, hit F to exit)
